This graphic novel is just plain gorgeous. The art (that limited color palette!) & stylistic choices (the Greek chorus of toys!) are enchanting. Each character has a distinct look that gives you a lush world of differing body types and gender expressions. The storyline-of a young, proud lesbian in the throes of a toxic relationship figuring her shit out-is real and hard and uplifting in a such a beguiling, bittersweet way. And her friends are all so goddamn precious. Everything works here. A+

Loved the friend group here, and the idea that just because you are out and proud doesn't mean everything goes smoothly as a gay teenager. The toxic relationship, and how it affects the main character and the other people in her life, is well developed. The art style is interesting, including the sentient stuffed creations. Definitely recommend if you like graphic novels or lgbtqa stories.

3.75 stars, while I really loved the art and the side characters, the main character, along with the first half of the book, annoyed the fuck out of me. I know that's the whole point, but I connected more with the other people and their struggles
