Thoroughly engrossing ending to the Red Rising Trilogy. Some tragic elements, and some surprising redemptions, ends with a satisfying but not cheap denoument. The best end to a series I've read since The Magician's Land.

This is a very consistent, solidly written sci-fi/fantasy series. While it is said to be YA, it rarely if ever succumbs to the genre's shortcomings.

I’m almost positive I have raved about Pierce Brown before, and I almost certainly will rave about Pierce Brown again. It’s just how the world works. I marked a bunch of passages where his prose gutted me or just stunned me…or both, so I’ll hop on down to that. Full review here.
