An adequate book, it's very readable. It will entertain you, maybe sadden you, but probably not move you deeply. It suffers from the main characters being bland middle class teens, with typical vapid teen problems, without many deeper issues being touched on.

Actual rating: 3.5 This is a emotional story and I don't deny that it broke my heart as I read this book. It was sad knowing how some actions even so insignificant can lead to such a disastrous result. However, I was annoyed by Hannah. One thing I liked about this book is how the author linked everything together. Each event seemed to fit nicely. Besides, I loved the suspense. The book, nevertheless, was a little dragging. The whole book is so fake. Read it because it got a 4++ ratings on Goodreads so I thought it worth a shot. This book is total shit. It got good ratings because those who rated it were those suicidal teenage girls mad in love or whatever. If yuo want to read depressed book go read Perks of Being a Wallflower not this.

The story is good. I have no problem with that. I like the idea of an audiotape but let me rant a lil bit. It's not that hard to understand that getting to know a character, a dead character especially who decided to commit suicide, through her POV must be a little bit frustrating. Hannah made me upset at some point in the book because well, she gives up on life and I don't. The character seems flat. Even someone with a depression still has more dimensions than Hannah. I'm not sure if I'm ok with this book or not. The format is super cool in the abstract: audiotapes with the person's comments intertwined. But in actuality, it was confusing and a bit annoying, especially since they were both written in first person, instead of first and third, which might have been easier for the reader to follow. Ugh, now the subject matter. I am all for suicide awareness. I know how incredibly disturbing and gut-wrenching suicide is for everyone involved. But. I'm not sure
