Great character development and story-telling, I couldn't believe the amount of emotion I had for these characters. I knew how it would end, and still did a double take and re-read the pages again and again.

Oh boy. This one was a doozy. Took me the longest to read by far in this initial list I have. I won't say I disliked it, beause that would be far from the truth, but by about page 500 I was finishing it for the sake of finishing it. It's just such a long story with so many chapters and so much going on. I mean the titular Anna Karenina isn't even introduced until Ch 18. I think the best thing about this book is the characters. I was invested in them for sure, but it was a tiresome read.

it's so lenghty lol, lots of description ideas if you want to write fiction yourself.

Honestly speaking, I did not even finish it, and maybe it gets better later on (maybe...), but personally, I do not like powering through 400+ pages of subpar plot in order to witness some profound commentary on society. Might be a good read for some though.
