Extremely addictive. If it's possible, this book is very deep, but shallow at the same time. It has many layers, but its thin because it feels like cheap thrills at times. I found it extremely entertaining, as most did, but the controversy and depth to which some people dove in to the story in relation to real life events - unreal. It didn't have much of an affect on my life once I finished the last page. I just found it to be something very entertaining, suspenseful and a little educational.

Pros: Fast paced, quick read, lots of suspense-filled moments. Cons: Parallel plotlines - just before you reach the climax of one storyline he switches to the other one, then you get to that climax and he comes back the first one. This constantly denial gets annoying after a while. Also, in some parts of the novel the story slows down to a crawl with way too many descriptions. I've read the previous books by the author but got caught up so many times in this one tat I dropped it at 60-70%.

Surprisingly feministic and wildly imaginative, this story combines the work of real famous artists and their work with various myths to create an intricate treasure hunt. It is basically one big adventure, since the story takes place in the span of a few hours, and it is full of information and enigmas to be solved before our heroes can move on to the next piece of the puzzle that would lead them to the answers they seek. I really liked angels and demons, and this book was a fun read too, but I personally felt that the plot twists were very predictable, and that was disappointing.

Much has been said about this book so I keep it short. I was suprised how well I liked the book. It features a good combination of highly interesting topics - and the whole story happens within one day. It's not high literature but very entertaining. You could do much worse with other books...
