(Grade: C) I like the book, but I found some parts of it lacking. In particular, I found the world-building to be lacking despite the fact that the author has the groundwork laid out for an epic story. I found the moral dilemmas that the characters face to lack complexity. The author doesn't explore it or work through it and thus it doesn't leave an impression on the reader. The combat is a bit repetitive in nature and needs more complexity and diversity.
